Books have some limitations when it comes to talking about sounds, so we're offering practical workshops to talk through the contents of the book. Each session is 2 hours long with plenty of time for questions. Participants are encouraged to send along their students' nemesis words and errors so we can work through those together. Bring your own nemesis words too! Weak spellers are welcome.
Workshop attendees will receive downloadable resources and can request an Excel version of the coded word bank so you can add your own. You'll also be invited to join our closed That Reading Thing support group on Facebook. It's a great place to ask questions of people who are using the method for both spelling and reading.
Contact us with your preferred day and time (and time zone) and we'll book a session.
£59 per person with discounts for groups of 5 or more.
Once you're booked into an online workshop, you'll need to download Zoom. Other requirements are a good internet connection and, if you want to participate in the workshop, a mic and camera. You'll be fine with the ones on your computer. I'll always be at a workshop at least 10 minutes early so attendees can come in and test out the settings.
You'll be sent a meeting number for joining. See the video below.
